Espresso after dinner is a small Italian ritual, but its appeal is simple enough to travel well. A short coffee creates a pause, resets the palate and signals that the meal is reaching its final chapter.
Why after dinner?
Espresso is concentrated and direct. After pasta, pizza or dessert, its bitterness can cut through richer flavours and give the palate a cleaner finish.
With dessert or after?
Both work. With chocolate or coffee-based desserts, espresso reinforces roasted notes. With fruit it creates contrast. If you do not want dessert, coffee alone can become the final course.
One last moment at Vertigo
The Menu includes a coffee section for exactly this part of the evening. Close dinner with espresso, pair it with dessert or use it as a bridge to one last drink.
